In 1946 we began providing personalized service to fly-fishing anglers of Atlantic salmon. For the past sixty years, each guest has enjoyed the exclusive use of our secluded, cozy Lodge and five-star salmon holding pools.

In 2008 and 2009 we expanded our outfit. We built three new cottages, one on our original land grant and two at remote sites. Two of these cottages are available for monthly or seasonal lease, one is for sale. We also purchased a new Atlantic salmon pool. We have continued to host anglers at our original site.

In 2010 we look forward to sharing the quiet, relaxing, magnificent surroundings of the Miramichi and Cains River valleys with you.

VICKERS POOLS LTD offers a variety of lodging and Atlantic salmon pools

1. Seasonal Lodging (June 23 - September 25) This Riverbend Log cottage was built in 2009. It is 16 x 20 foot with a sleeping loft, on 40 acres of secluded, private land, and overlooks Brophy’s Run, a fast water Atlantic salmon pool touching Washburn’s Island in Howard/Upper Blackville, New Brunswick. The cottage is furnished and has a full bath, propane heat, and a fully equipped kitchen. Occupants will have the right to fish our private pool, Brophy’s Run. This location is ideal for canoeing, swimming, and angling. It was designed for a family that wants a summer vacation get-away. $5,500 plus tax for the season.

2. Lodging on the Cains River This rustic, V-Pine one room 16 x 20 foot cottage, build in 2009, is on the ridge overlooking the Cains River in Shinnickburn, New Brunswick. It is fully furnished, has electrical appliances, and wood heat. Open fishing waters are nearby. It is less than 1 mile below Muzroll Brook and 9.6 miles above the entrance of the Cains River into the Mains Southwest Miramichi. The daily rate is $100 plus tax per angler for lodging.
